Brazos Portal 2.x Architecture

  • Brazos Portal's Task Synchronizer uses IBM BPM's Dynamic Event Framework to notify the Brazos Portal Server of task changes.
  • Brazos Portal 2.x can be scaled independently from BPM hardware
  • Brazos Portal 2.x supports both on Premise and on Cloud BPM instances simultaneously

Differences between Brazos Portal 1.x and 2.x:

  • WebSockets replace SSE / Long polling
  • All task data is maintained in Elasticsearch (no browser store, no relational DB)
  • Large task groups (over 100) use a “show more” functionality, rather than initially loading the full list of tasks
  • Task Synchronizer replaces REST polling and DB Trigger approaches
  • Task details are pulled by the system account, not once per user
