Beginning with the v1.12.0 release of Brazos Portal, Filters can be defined that will be logically ORed in addition to the existing filters that are ANDed. This feature greatly increases the flexibility for how you can filter tasks in your Task Groups and Views.
There are now two sections on the dialog where you define filters for Task Groups or Views:
- Meets ALL of the following conditions:
All filters in this section must be met for tasks to appear in this group/view. In other words, there is a logical AND operation performed on all of these filters.
- And meets ANY of the following conditions:
Tasks matching any filter in this section (AND matching the filters defined in the above section) will appear in this group/view. In other words, there is a logical OR operation performed on all of these filters.
If you only want tasks matching ALL filters to show up in your group/view, only add filters to the top section.
If you want tasks that match ANY of your filters to show up in your group/view, only add filters to the bottom section.
In this example, the user is a Customer Relationship Manager for 3 customers, Customer A, Customer B, and Customer C. This CRM would like all high priority tasks for her customers to show up in the "My High Priority Customer Tasks" Task Group.
All other tasks for these customers should show up in "My Customer Tasks" Task Group.
Note that in this case you would want to have the "My High Priority Customer Tasks" positioned above the "My Customer Tasks" Task Group in Brazos Portal.
